Casey ARC is a $17.4M aquatic & leisure facility for family fun and fitness. It is located beside Princes Highway, near Magid Drive, in the Fountain Gate Shopping Centre precinct, overlooking a small lake in an attractive landscaped environment.
Casey ARC has something for everyone combining all the fun and excitement of wave pool, a 50 metre lap pool, warm water program pool, spa, sauna and steam room, cafe, crèche and fully equipped health club.
The DEOS building management system for Casey Arc Leisure Centre building automation integrates with the following systems for either full control or monitoring purposes:
- All HVAC plant.
- All Central HHW plant.
- pool plant.
- WJPratt pool plant (Display purposes only).
The DEOS control system has been selected for this project above all else because of its exclusive ability in Australia to run the Bauer Optimizing System, also developed in Germany and patented in various countries including Australia.
Before the modernisation of the building automation, Casey Arc Leisure Centre had problems with an extreme condensation on glass, a high humidity and chlorine smell. The HVAC energy consumption was high with 100 % fan speeds, the building envelope was leaky.
After the modernisation of its building management the fan speeds could be reduced to 40 to 70 % (supply air) and 20 to 50 % (return air). The chlorine smells, the condensation on glass and the water evaporation were virtually eliminated. The building fabric´s permeability has improved. All changes could be done with unchanged ductwork or with a minimal increase.
