Before the modernisation the HVAC-system was 50% undersized, there was limited space for ductwork. The unconvential location and the design of supply air outlets were a challenge for the HVAC-system. No sensor should be visible on the walls.
The DEOS COBAOPT system was installed into the Bundoora Homestead in 2009. The Mechanical plant design was leading edge in areas of capacity, air duct design and air outlets types and design.
After the modernisation all challenges of the building could be coped. The 1st floor required 5 zones for gallary artwork. The gallery zones are open to the common atrium hence the whole building has indirectly become a COBAOPT
zone with excellent temperature and humidity conditions.
